For those just starting their audio journey or audio techs looking to add a foundation of theory to their experience. Topics covered include sound waves and signal flow, the parts of a sound system, and connecting it together. This class is interactive and may include a hands-on component. There are no prerequisites for this class.
Part 2 - The Mixer
The mixer is the heart of the sound system. In this class you will learn the basics of gain structure, equalization, dynamics and aux mixes. May include a hands-on component. Attendance of class "Audio Introduced Part 1" is recommended.
Part 3 - The Stage
Topics covered include microphones, stage monitors, personal mixers, connecting a band and working with pastors. Includes a hands-on component. Attendance of classes "Audio Introduced Part 1 & 2" is recommended.
Audio Introduced for Musicians
Whether you are having to run your own monitor mix, get the system running for a practice, or just communicate with your audio tech its important for musicians and vocalists to have a basic understanding of sound and audio systems. This class will highlight how to create a good personal monitor mix, audio mixer basics, and how to help out your audio techs by giving them good tone and clean arrangements.
